Dr. Richard "Chip" L. Godine 

DVM: Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine   -   1987

Dr. Godine grew up in Baltimore and nearby Advanced Mills.  He graduated from Woodberry Forest School and was a letterman on the UVa lacrosse team in the mid-1970's.  Dr. Godine's special interests in Veterinary Medicine include ultrasound, cardiology, laser therapy and orthopedic surgery.  He is one of a handful of surgeons in Virginia trained to perform TTA's in the repair of cruciate disease.  He enjoys spending time with his wife and four children, and playing golf.

"Dr. Caroline" grew up in White Marsh, Maryland, and received a BS in Dairy Science from the University of Maryland.  Her special interests include reproduction, dermatology and soft tissue surgery.  When "Dr. Caroline" isn't practicing Veterinary Medicine, she can be found home-schooling her four children or working in the garden.

Dr. Robertson is a native of Grosse Pointe, Michigan, and moved to the Ruckersville area in 1980. She has a special interest in feline medicine and also enjoys all types of surgery. When not working, Dr. Robertson enjoys traveling and vacationing with her family.


Dr. Ashley H. Bruce 

DVM - Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine - 2009

Dr. Bruce grew up near Richmond, VA and recently moved to the Ruckersville area.  She wanted to be a veterinarian from a young age and enjoyed volunteering at animal shelters and riding horses.  Before going on to vet school, she majored in Biology at UMW where she did a research project with cornsnakes and kept two as pets.  Her medical interests include gastroenterology, ophthalmology, and diagnostic ultrasound.  She enjoys playing with her two dogs and two cats, and spending time with her husband and two little girls.








 


 

Alba "Maria" M. Shank, DVM,MS, Diplomate ACVP

 

Currently I am an anatomic pathologist at IDEXX Reference Laboratories working virtually from Ruckersville Animal Hospital. I have bee with IDEXX since February 2012. My top areas of interest are ocular pathology and reproductive pathology. in my spare time I like to garden, hike, read and play with my kids and chickens.


Dr. Kayla Odom

 

Growing up in the small town of St. Francisville, Louisiana, Dr. Odom acquired the interest of helping animals during high school while working at a local veterinary hospital. She went on to obtain her Bachelor of Science and then pursued her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Louisiana State University. Upon graduation, Dr. Odom practiced in Las Vegas, NV before moving to the Ruckersville area to be closer to family. Her professional interests include dermatology and internal medicine. Through her special interest in the veterinary mission field, she has traveled to Haiti and Honduras multiple times. In her spare time, Dr. Odom loves to spend time with family and friends and travel to new locations. She has a Maine Coon kitty named O’Malley.
